# Keywords and rankings

Add tracked apps and country-specific keywords, read research estimates, and follow observed ranking changes.

## Add country-specific keywords

The current app supports up to 100 tracked keyword rows per app. The same term in different storefronts is tracked separately. Settings → General lets you choose the default storefront.

1. Open Keywords and select a tracked app in the toolbar. Choose Add App… if your list is empty.

2. Choose Add keywords (+). Enter a term or a comma-separated list, then select the storefront country.

3. Choose Add. The rows appear while research data is collected.

4. Use the country menu to focus the table on a storefront or view All Countries.

## Read the table

- Popularity and difficulty are directional estimates, not official Apple search-volume measurements.

- Ranking is an observed position for the selected app, keyword, and storefront. It can change between observations.

- Pending or Awaiting metrics means a result is not ready; a blank value is not a zero.

- Use View apps to inspect the ranking apps. Open a ranking badge or Ranking history to review the saved observations.

## Sort and revisit

Use a column header or the Sort keywords toolbar menu to choose a column and ascending or descending order. Compare the same term and country over time rather than drawing conclusions from a single position.

Saved history belongs to the local workspace on this Mac. Removing a keyword or tracked app also removes its associated local history; read the confirmation before deleting.

## When data stays pending

Research can be queued, cached, or temporarily limited by the upstream service. If a retry time is shown, wait for that interval. Use a row’s Retry action when available; repeatedly removing and re-adding a term does not guarantee fresh results.
